Stop Following Rules — Start Reading Your Body

ree

Becoming Your Own Experiment:

If you’ve been following this series, you’ve learned a lot — how to build balanced meals, support hormones, time nutrition for workouts, and stay consistent. But here’s where the real magic happens: learning what actually works for your body.

No expert, app, or influencer knows your system better than you do. Nutrition isn’t one-size-fits-all — and honestly, it’s not even one-size-fits-you every day. Stress, sleep, hormones, and training intensity all shift how your body uses fuel.

Some days you might feel amazing eating every few hours. Other days, you may feel lighter and more focused with a longer morning fast. Neither is “right” or “wrong.” The key is to observe your body’s feedback — hunger, energy, focus, sleep, recovery — and use it to fine-tune your approach.

Try this mindset shift: instead of asking “What should I eat?” ask What happens when I eat this way?”

If you’re curious, use tools that give personalized insight — like journaling, tracking mood and energy, or even wearing a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) for a few weeks to see how your body responds to different foods and rhythms.

This approach turns nutrition from a set of rules into a living, flexible process. You stop guessing — and start learning.

Challenge for This Week

  1. Track how your body responds to different eating patterns (meal timing, carb intake, hydration).

  2. Identify one positive change that improves your energy or focus — and one pattern that drains it.

  3. Keep what works, adjust what doesn’t. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s awareness.
